We require a credit card guarantee to confirm every reservation. We appreciate your kind understanding that the fresh ingredients for each guest’s meal are flown in from Japan, and we have very limited seating.
We are aware that Japan will be releasing treated waste water into the ocean in August. The plan has been approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the approach is in accordance with global safety standards. As this is a recent announcement, our team is monitoring the situation closely.
Shoukouwa flies in the choicest seafood four times a week from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market. We will continue to provide clear instructions to our suppliers in accordance with the directives from the Singapore Food Agency. The well-being of our guests remains our first priority. Should circumstances warrant, we would like to assure our diners that our restaurant has ample access to alternative sources of seafood with similar quality from other countries that comply with the safety standards stipulated by the Singapore Food Agency.
